The team was an instant success within the community as they attracted 158,380 fans in their inaugural season. In 2012-13, they set a franchise record by drawing 386,653 patrons.

Halifax hosted the Memorial Cup in 2000, but the team lost in the semi-finals to the Barrie Colts.

The Mooseheads earned births in two President Cup finals in the 2000's. They lost a seven-game series in 2003 at the hands of the Hull Olympiques and were defeated by the Rimouski Océanic in four games two years later.Champions 2013 - Zachary Fucale & Trey Lewis

In 2012-13, the Mooseheads tied the QMJHL record with 58 victories. After the regular season, they completed the « Triple Crown » with the President Cup and Memorial Cup quests. The young talented leaders Jonathan Drouin (3rd) and Nathan MacKinnon (1st overall), became in June 2013, two first rounders of the NHL Draft.Jonathan Drouin

The 2018-19 season will always be considered as memorable. With a new head coach behind the bench, Eric Veilleux, the Mooseheads reached the League Final Series (4th time in their history), and also participated in the Championship Game of the 2019 Memorial Cup. In both instances, they faced the same opponent, the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, and were not able to win the ultimate game.

Jordan Dumais - QMJHL MVP 2022-23 / Trophée Michel-Brière

The 2022-23 season certainly made Mooseheads fans keep asking for more. Jordan Dumais amassed 140 regular-season points, a new franchise record, while finishing 1st in the QMJHL scoring charts and earning the League MVP award (Michel-Brière Trophy). The team finished 2nd overall with 107 points (50 wins), just behind the Quebec Remparts (109 points), and maintained the best goals-per-game average in the league (4.87). In the league final, the Mooseheads were defeated by the Quebec Remparts in 6 games.
