Led by Réal Paiement, one of the most successful coaches in QMJHL history, the Fog Devils reached the playoffs in their first year of existence in 2005-06, winning 25 of their 35 home games at Mile One Stadium, a superb venue of 6,247 seats.
During the 3rd season of their history, the Fog Devils, property of the Dobbin Family, were sold to Mr Farrel Miller. The new owner of the franchise transfers the team in Montreal (QC) for the start of the 2008-09 season. The Montreal Junior Hockey Club will play its home games at the Verdun Auditorium.
At the start of the 2011-12 seaosn, the team is sold to a group comprised of Québecor Média and former QMJHL players, including Joël Bouchard who became the general manager and leader of the entire hockey department. The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada was born.
The work ethics in place paid off since the team since the team had 4 consecutive season with 40 wins from 2011-12 to 2014-16, reaching the semifinals twice (2013-2014) during playoffs.
The 2016-17 season was memorable, with leaders like TJ Melancon, Pierre-Luc Dubois, Alex Barré-Boulet and the veteran goaltender Samuel Montembeault (20 year-old). The team will reach the Final Series, but despite all the efforts, the Saint John Sea Dogs won the series in 4 consecutives games (4-0).
In 2017-18, after a 50 win-season (team record), and the first place in the QMJHL with 107 points (team record), the Armada will participate into the President Cup Final Series for a second year in a row, but... they lost in 6 games against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
From 2011-12 to 2017-18, during Joël Bouchard's reign as president, general manager and head coach (4 years), the franchise recorded a fabulous total of 326 wins in 581 games - including playoffs - for an amazing .581 winning percentage !
